Grant Thornton Partner Bill Pollatos recognized as an ‘Emerging Leader’

Bill Pollatos LOS ANGELES — Bill Pollatos, Grant Thornton LLP Transaction Services partner, has received an Emerging Leaders Award from The M&A Advisor.

Pollatos has more than 16 years of public accounting experience serving private equity firms, privately held and public companies ranging from start-ups to established multinational firms. As the leader of Grant Thornton’s M&A technology team and its largest technology transactions, Pollatos has steered hundreds of due diligence engagements and consulted for clients across the transaction lifecycle.

“We’ve sensed Bill’s potential since we tapped him to build our Transaction Services practice in Southern California. He grew it to a team of 10 with a significant book of business and deep technology-industry expertise in just three years,” said Jim Peko, national managing principal of Transaction Services for Grant Thornton. “It’s gratifying to see Bill earn this industry recognition for his many contributions to our firm.”

The M&A Advisor, renowned globally for its recognition of leading M&A, financing and turnaround professionals, created the Emerging Leaders Awards program to promote mentorship and professional development among emerging business leaders. An independent judging panel chose Pollatos for his accomplishments and expertise from a pool of nominees.

Peko added, “Bill’s ability to build and maintain relationships is as key to his success as his industry and functional knowledge. He’s personally invested in every client outcome – his client service approach is a differentiator for Grant Thornton.”

Pollatos received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Northern Illinois University’s College of Business.

The M&A Advisor will host an Awards Gala to honor this year’s recipients at the New York Athletic Club in Manhattan on Tuesday, September 17, 2019. To view the complete list of this year’s Emerging Leaders Award Winners, click here.
