Grant Thornton’s Partho Ghatak named a ‘Top Global Chief Information Security Officer’ by Cyber Defense Magazine

 

CHICAGO — Grant Thornton, one of America’s largest brands of professionals providing end-to-end audit, assurance, tax and advisory services, announced that Partho Ghatak, managing director and chief information security officer (CISO) for Grant Thornton, has been named one of the 2024 Top Global CISOs in the world by Cyber Defense Magazine.

 

Cyber Defense Magazine is the cybersecurity industry's leading electronic information security publication and annually honors top cybersecurity leaders through its Cyber Defense Award’s Top Global CISO designation.

Ghatak possesses more than 20 years of experience leading technology implementations and information security efforts. He joined Grant Thornton in 2021 as CISO, and he steers the firm’s information security needs and advises senior leadership on all matters related to the integrity and confidentiality of firm systems and critical business information. Prior to joining Grant Thornton, he served in similar leadership positions with Blue Shield of California and the Kellogg Company.

Ghatak earned a bachelor’s degree in applied computer science and a master’s degree in physics from the University of Jabalpur in India.
